Swedish description in the Heraldica record SV
The text below is the Swedish description in the Heraldica record. Whether its wording is an official blazon has not been independently verified. The editorial text follows the municipality’s arms information and does not assign an unsupported symbolic meaning to the gulls.

Three silver gulls
Haugesund Municipality’s graphic profile says the arms show three silver gulls on blue and a gold crown. The municipal source states that the arms were approved by Royal Resolution on 5 March 1930.

Use and rendering of the arms
The municipality instructs users to follow the specified colours and says the shield should be shown without an outline. Its source gives no separate symbolic meaning for the details of the gull motif, so they are described here only as figures in the arms.
