The arms and their blazon
The municipality says the arms were established in 1951. Its motifs are three bees and a winged wheel.
Background in the municipal sources
Alvesta explains that the winged wheel represents the importance of rail traffic and the bees industriousness in local business. These are the municipality’s own interpretations.
Heraldic elements
The heraldic elements are identified using HERO, a heraldry ontology published through Finland's Finto service. It provides structured terminology for describing coats of arms and their components. The list describes the structure of the arms, not the symbolic meaning of its elements.
