I blått fält en balkvis ställd ström av silver eller en genom vågskura bildad balk av silver belagd med ett blått topografiskt tecken.

The arms and their description

The Swedish text in the Heraldica record gives two wordings: a silver stream arranged as a bar, or a wavy-edged silver bar charged with a blue topographic mark. These alternatives are not combined here into a verified blazon.

Background in local sources

Aneby’s 2024 council minutes reproduce an interpellation by councillor Mikael Jansson that calls Stalpet a symbol in the municipal arms. The minutes record the speaker’s wording; the council did not adopt it as the arms’ official historical explanation.

Heraldic elements

The heraldic elements are identified using HERO, a heraldry ontology published through Finland's Finto service. It provides structured terminology for describing coats of arms and their components. The list describes the structure of the arms, not the symbolic meaning of its elements.
