Background in the municipal sources

Bjuv Municipality says its place brand takes its starting point from the mining torch in the municipal arms. The brand highlights the flame and the torch’s stripes; the source does not explain the symbolism of the arms’ other elements. The record lists royal confirmation in 1955 and registration in 1974.

The heraldic elements are identified using HERO, a heraldry ontology published through Finland's Finto service. It provides structured terminology for describing coats of arms and their components. The list describes the structure of the arms, not the symbolic meaning of its elements.
