The arms’ design
The municipal council minutes from 2024 repeat the registered description: on a blue shield, a centred stylised red three-headed flame rises from a white mountain peak, above six green mounds shaped as waves.
Background and the source’s interpretation
The minutes say the arms were adopted in 1957 and registered with the Swedish Patent and Registration Office in 2009. In 2024 the council approved an official colour version after different versions and shades had circulated.
Heraldic elements
The heraldic elements are identified using HERO, a heraldry ontology published through Finland's Finto service. It provides structured terminology for describing coats of arms and their components. The list describes the structure of the arms, not the symbolic meaning of its elements.
