The arms and their blazon

The 2017 municipal council minutes reproduce the verbal description of the arms and distinguish the historic town arms from the work on the graphic profile.

Background in the municipal sources

The municipality says the castle and surrounding water are the main elements of the design, with relevant motifs traceable to the town’s earliest seal. The arms were kept separate from the new logo.
