From city arms to municipal emblem

Karlshamn Municipality says the arms appeared in the 1666 charter that granted Bodekull the name Karlshamn. The municipality dates their confirmation for current use to 1974. They are the city’s historic emblem; the municipality’s graphic profile uses them with a mural crown.
