The arms’ design

The municipality’s graphic guidelines connect the crow with an older seal from Gudmundrå and the bridge with Sandö Bridge. They also say the municipality took over the arms from Kramfors city in 1974.

Background and the source’s interpretation

The municipality notes that residents have been called “crows”. We present this only as the municipality’s own explanation, not as independently verified origin or an official interpretation of the symbol.
