The arms and their blazon
The municipal graphic profile depicts the five firs on a green panel in a white shield and distinguishes the arms from the logo based on them.
Background in the municipal sources
The municipal council established the arms on 24 September 1979; the municipality says they were subsequently notified to the National Archives and registered with the Swedish Patent and Registration Office. Its material does not explain the symbolism of the firs.

Heraldic elements
The heraldic elements are identified using HERO, a heraldry ontology published through Finland's Finto service. It provides structured terminology for describing coats of arms and their components. The list describes the structure of the arms, not the symbolic meaning of its elements.
