The arms and their blazon

The municipal graphic profile distinguishes the arms from other parts of its visual identity. The municipal blazon describes the sun, wavy chief and bolt.

Background in the municipal sources

The municipality explains that the bolt refers to electricity generation and the gold sun to gold production. The arms were adopted in 1945; after the municipal mergers of 1967 and 1973, they came to represent the whole present-day municipality.
